Amazonia 1
Low Earth orbit remote sensing satellite based on the multi-mission platform (PMM).
- Payload
- WFI camera with 67 m resolution and 838 km swath, with a 5-day revisit.
- Role
- Mission architect and AOCS technical lead
I design and analyze spacecraft missions and develop attitude and orbit control subsystems (AOCS) at the Brazilian National Institute for Space Research. I was mission architect and AOCS lead for Amazonia 1 — successfully launched in February 2021 — and currently hold the same roles for the projects Amazonia 1B, CBERS 06, and CO2Image. I also build open tooling for the Julia language ecosystem.
